Jake was on his deathbed while his wife, Becky, maintained a steady vigil by his side. As she held his fragile hand, her warm tears ran silently down her face, splashed onto his, and roused him from his slumber. He looked up and his pale lips began to quiver with sound.
"My darling Becky," he whispered.
"Hush, my love," she said. "Go back to sleep Shhh! Don't talk."
But he was insistent. "Becky," he said in his tired voice. "I have to talk. I have something I must confess to you."
"There's nothing to confess," replied the weeping Becky. "It's all right. Everything's all right, go to sleep now."
"No, no. I must die in peace, Becky. I slept with your sister, your best friend and our next door neighbor."
Becky mustered a pained smile and stroked his hand. "Hush now Jake, don't torment yourself. I know all about it," she said. "Why do you think I poisoned you?"

Three women at the doctors office. The first one goes in to see the doctor. When the doctor goes to examine her he notices a big Y on her chest. The doctor asks, " Why do you have a big Y on your chest?"
She replys, " Well, my boyfriend went to Yale and when we make love he likes to wear his college sweater."
The doctor nods and continues on with the next patient. When he examines her he notices a big H on her chest.
Agian, the doctor asks, " How did you get a big H on your chest?" The woman replys " My husband went to Harvard and when we make love he likes to wear his college sweater."
The doctors just nods his head and continues on with the last patient. As he examines her he notices once again that this woman also has a letter on her chest. A large M.
He says, " Dont tell me, your boyfriend went to Michigan?"
" NO" replys the patient " But my girlfriend went to Wisconsin"

Searra, an eight-year-old brain tumor patient, was a "regular" in the Radiation Oncology Department, much like the other patients who came to the cancer center everyday for a five- or six-week period. With my office located near the main entrance, I could hear Searra, also called CC, coming from a distance. Sure enough, she popped her head in every morning around 10:00 A.M. to say "hi" or, more important, to check out the toys and coloring materials I had stashed in my office.wow power leveling Several steps behind, CC's grandmother, also called Mommie, since she served as her guardian, would trail in as she tried keeping up with CC's anxious pace. CC was not the least bit interested in hearing more about her cancer or her hair loss. When she walked into the department, it was time to socialize with the staff, who became her instant friends, and to see what kind of masterpiece she could color for Mommie before she was called back for her treatment. I was taken aback by the love CC had for Mommie. Whenever I asked her about home life, school work or how she was feeling, every response referred to her time spent with Mommie, the funny stories they shared and how much she loved her.wow gold On numerous occasions, CC made it clear that Mommie was the center of her world. When CC was first treated with radiation therapy,wow power leveling the therapists told her that they would give her a quarter each day if she promised to keep her head still on the treatment table. She constantly showed that loving others with true commitment is the best gift you can give another-whether a family member or a friend. Certainly, CC has an excuse to complain or be angry at the world for a childhood totally different from the other children's in her third-grade class. I have never heard her complain about her bald head,wow power leveling swollen face and body (as a result of the steroids), or low energy level, which keeps her from playing outside. CC continues to live her life the way she chooses, and that includes giving of herself to make the world a better place for others, especially Mommie. CC reminds me to not take those people I love for granted and to look beyond the superficiality that is often found in day-to-day living.wow gold I am reminded to be more thankful for what I have today and to not dwell on what is behind me or what lies ahead. Our search to understand love is obvious when you consider the numerous books, articles and talk shows dedicated to the topic. People around the world deem love as essential to being happy and look for it in many different places and ways. Television and movies tell us what "real love" should look like but somehow something has been lost in the definition.
¡¡¡¡As a teenager, the word "love" was used so soon in a relationship that it became an inadequate expression when the relationship deepened. At this stage it was easy to confuse lust and love, I think. I learned a helpful definition: Lust can"t wait to get. Love can"t wait to give.
¡¡¡¡I began to understand the true essence of love when I met and began to date my husband, Glen. I was working as a secretary in a small film equipment company. The receptionist was a real matchmaker. She called me over to introduce me to the fellow who had just repaired her accounting machine. Glen blushed from ear to ear, excused himself and hurried out of the office. When he got to the corner store he telephoned back to ask me on a date. He was bashful, but not slow.
¡¡¡¡Up to this point my ideas about love were very self centered. I was out for a good time. I had never stopped to think about the effect my actions might have on others - especially my words. Glen was sensitive and honest enough to tell me that my sarcasm hurt. I began to make a conscious effort to build him up in private and in public because I cared about him. My feelings became secondary to pleasing Glen and making him happy.
¡¡¡¡Phileo is used to describe friendship that is strengthened by shared experiences, Eros describes sensual love that is stimulated by our senses and Agape describes the pure love that is unconditionally expressed as an act of the will. Marriage should include all three facets of love. My husband is my best friend and we share many experiences together. Eros love is, of course, an¡¡important part of marriage.
¡¡¡¡Real love is a choice. An act of the will. It enables us to accept our differences within relationships and to choose to love the person when we want to lash out or withdraw instead.
¡¡¡¡Taking the initiative to love others usually triggers a positive response. But when there is no visible response I have to remind myself that I am only responsible for my actions and reactions, not those of other people.
¡¡¡¡God gives a clear description of love in the Bible:
¡¡¡¡Love never gives up. Love cares for others more than for self. Love doesn"t want what it doesn"t have. Love doesn"t strut, doesn"t have a swelled head, doesn"t force itself on others, it isn"t always "me first," doesn"t fly off the handle, doesn"t keep score of the sins of others, doesn"t revel when others grovel, takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, puts up with anything, trusts God always, always looks for the best, never looks back, but keeps going to the end. Love never dies" (1 Corinthians 13, The Message).
